Different Top Knot Buns using FrontRow Extensions

Hi Dolls,

Hope you're having an amazing day?

I recently collaborated with FrontRow on creating fabulous hairstyles with their luxury clip-in-extensions. You can read all about the extensions and brand on the post I've linked.  Obviously one of the things I enjoy doing is playing around with different styles, and one of my go-to hairstyles is a top knot.  I've done this so many years, way before it became popular on YouTube, I remember it being one of my go-to styles when I lived in the UK, and that was in 2002.

This isn't a tutorial and apologies for the shoddy photo quality on some of them, but I am most certainly going to post these tutorials on FrontRow soon, so keep a look out for it if you want to see how I created these:

These extensions blend in perfectly with my A-Line bob, you cannot even see the clips, and they're so strong so you don't have to worry about them sliding out or anything.  I just used a sock-bun for these buns and voila.  I love wearing dangly earrings or pretty studs with these type of hairstyles, they're so easy but chic and beautiful, and you can add so many different accessories to make it look different everyday - hairbands, clips etc.

Hope you liked it!

Sending tons of blessings your way xo

Luxury Clip in Hair Extensions: FrontRow {Review & Introduction}

Hi Dolls,

Happy Easter!  Do you see anything different ;) I changed back to my old design with new elements and a new layout, which I hope will make it easier for you so you can scroll past posts you're not really interested in?  I really hope you like it!

Wishing you an amazing long weekend with your loved ones!

Recently I got an amazing opportunity to collaborate with a fabulous brand called FrontRow, and I'll be doing regular hair posts on their blog www.frontrow.co.za, so please be sure to visit as there will be some exciting hair tutorials and ideas on there.

You may be well aware that my hair went from long and swishy to an a-line bob, and I love love my hairstyle. To be honest I don't know when or if I ever will go back to long, it's not going to be anytime soon, but that doesn't mean I don't want a variety of hairstyles.  And although you can do different hairstyles with a bob, I was really excited to give my short hair a boost with these extensions.

One of the things I really like about this brand, is that the owner of FrontRow is an ambitious and hardworking woman, and I love supporting fellow gals working their butts off to create an empire, plus she's really lovely as well so that's already a recipe for success.

The extensions are 100% Remy hair, which means you can treat them the same way you treat your own hair, you can put heat on them (but as with your own hair use heat protectants and treatments), colour it (not bleach), it shines and is healthy looking - no one will know it's not your own hair.  One of the things Kim mentions on her website, is that she realized there is a need amongst South African women for affordable but high quality extensions.  I have to be honest that I was really surprised about the cost of these, as they truly feel like your own hair without the price tag.

You have to be careful when ordering hair extensions online, not all claims of 100% Remy hair is legitimate, and sometimes it's expensive too.  When I received my hair extensions, I couldn't wait to see what it feels like and how it "performs" for lack of a better word - and I'm so impressed by them, and can't wait to do tutorials with them.

The service delivery is so fast, they use a courier company that really exceeds your expectations, so don't worry about having to wait ages for your lusted extensions to arrive.  The extensions come boxed, then packaged in a plastic sleeve.  At the top you get a test extension, so you can ensure that your extensions match your hair perfectly, and if not you can return them, granted you have not opened the big plastic pocket. This is really nice of them because I've never had extensions received this way before.  Should you find that the extensions match, and you open the bigger pocket, you'll see the extensions have neatly been tied together with a hair net.  You then have the option of storing the extensions as you've received it, or even just in the box.  How nice?  No need for you to go out and purchase additional storage for them, and it's little things like this that sets them apart from the rest.

Please be sure to check out their website regularly, like I mentioned I'll start posting tutorials on there soon and the first one will be a how to clip in extensions in a bob so it blends in perfectly {PS - Just a little disclaimer that all the posts for FrontRow is sponsored, if you'd like to read my policy on sponsored posts I have more information here}.

Have a FABulous and Blessed day everyone!

OOTD: Day Time LBD

Hi Dolls,

I hope you've enjoyed the lovely rainy weather we had in South Africa this week?  I absolutely love love this type of weather, not all the time of course but now and again it's really nice, and I then indulge in a day long You Tube marathon when I'm not working, and thanks to all the rain we have our fluffy grass back and our garden is looking fabulous!

Dress and Shoes - Mr Price   |   Makeup:  Used the NYX Spring Fling Palette on my eyes - NYX is available at selected Clicks stores   |   Kangol - Time to Shine Bronzer (Review)   |   Kardashian Beauty Lip Gloss (Review)

There's no filter on the face of the day photo as I wanted to show you true colors of the makeup (as I always do with makeup and product photos, I never filter them I may just adjust the lighting if it's too dark), anyway, I'm not scared of makeup.  The more the better, throw it all on - lol kidding, but let's just say I'm not afraid of wearing colors on my eyes or go for a dramatic day time look (as I'm typing this post my eyes are bedazzled with a dark purple/blue smokey eye slap bang in the middle of the day).  I feel like once you get over that initial fear, as well as all the rules that people used to associate with makeup, you can have fun with it - honestly, if you're a novice give it a try, put a color on your eyelid and pair it with a neutral brown/bronze and you're good to go, the more you wear it the more confidence you'll get.  I absolutely adore the green in the NYX spring fling palette, in fact I've worn all the colors and love them equally, it's really beautiful and the shadow is very buttery and pigmented, I wear it over the NYX white eye shadow base which helps to intensify the color.

It's a really nice eye look with the little black dress, how beautiful is the cut out details at the top?  So as you may know already, I'm petite and pear shaped, and this dress is perfect for pear shaped women, it's fitted at the top which makes your bust appear a bit larger (goodness knows I need it, and btw don't pay attention to my bra-dent, for some reason it appears in photo's and not in real life, not sure if it's a shadow causing it or what but nevertheless), cinched in at the waist with a belt and flaring out at the bottom which gives your curves a softness and is very flattering.

I then wore these really pretty and colorful shoes, it's fun and it gives me height (plus they're comfy - bonus).

On a side note I totally need to get my hair trimmed again, my hair have always grown really fast, but now that it's short it seems to get out of style really quickly and I do have to go every single month.  Not that I'm complaining, I'm totally loving my short hair, and next time want to go shorter in the back but keep the length in the front so it's more asymmetrical from the side ala Victoria Beckham.

Hope you have an awesome Friday!

Love,
